Postage rates are set to change

The Communication Regulator has approved An Post’s application to have their existing Postal Rates changed effective from 21st July 2014.

Who will be impacted by the new changes?

The main changes will impact ALL Domestic and foreign Letters, Large Letters & Packets up to 100g, as detailed in An Posts Letter to their customers.

The New Postage Rates

New Rates from An Post that take effect on 21st July 2014

Increased Discounts for Franking Machine Users

Metered mail discount has increased to 2 cent, meaning that metered mail before any bulk discounts will be 66 cent rather than 68 cent which is a 3% saving.

It is highly recommended that customers upgrade their machine with the latest rates, so as to avoid overpayment on their mail, as some of the rates have in fact been reduced, but also to ensure that their mail is not returned to them by An Post for underpayment.

Neopost will be contacting all of our franking machine customers individually in the coming days to advise on the specific steps that you will need to take to ensure your franking machine is kept up to date with the latest postage rates.
