Clone of Neopost in the news: Neopost Evolves For Digital Comms

01/23/2019

Neopost Ireland’s core business is mailing equipment such as franking machines and address printers, which it has been providing to Irish businesses since 1979.

The company provides advanced solutions for physical mail processing, digital communications management, and supply chain and e-commerce process optimisation. Neopost services are sold in more than 90 countries and the company had annual turnover of €1.1bn in 2017.

In recent years, the company has been evolving into a digital multichannel communications provider, according to Conor Power, Sales and Operations Director. “We’ve  noticed that companies have a desire to communicate with their customers using digital means, as they become aware of the availability and capability of solutions,” says    Power. “Through digital communications, a company can better target and communicate to a recipient’s individual needs, even if the recipient is part of a bulk mail send.”

Effective customer communication is integral to the success of e-commerce vendors, and Power explains that online players can use Neopost’s multichannel solutions such as OMS-500 to communicate across multiple platforms. “This helps them to break away from a one-size-fits-all message and start tailoring communications individually to a specific audience,” says Power. “Especially in the light of GDPR, it’s important that the customer is communicated to the way they wish to be.”

In Power’s opinion, there is a push towards the convenience of preparing communications digitally, and instances the company’s Neotouch product. “You simply press print and documents go to a dashboard, to be sent via Neotouch. This transfers them to a secure facility where machines print, fold, insert, frank and send post. “Registered email is another service that we launched recently. It allows the user to send their registered post digitally and to accurately track its progress right up to the recipient receiving and opening the message. It also allows for significant savings on physical registered post.”

Looking to the future, Power anticipates that companies will try harder to create a more paperless working environment and to develop more efficient postage processes. “Coupled with the possibility of rising postal and delivery costs, this will drive industries to explore more digital solutions to send and process post and other communications to customers," says Power.
