Neopost at the Alone Walk

Neopost Volunteer Day

Last Friday a team from Neopost Ireland swapped office wear for t-shirts and gloves to volunteer at the ALONE Centre in Artane, Dublin.

The team left Neopost Towers early last Friday morning to spend the day at the ALONE elderly community centre in Artane. While there, they forgot about the rain to lay a patio, paint porches and walls and tend to the garden. All Neopost staff members thoroughly enjoyed the day, cleaning up the premises, chatting with residents and the feeling of satisfaction from working for such a worthy cause.

ALONE is a charity organization in Ireland which was set-up to highlight the issues facing older people living alone. Founded in 1977 by Willie Bermingham, the charity seeks to help elderly people living on their own who may feel isolated and lonely, and to "connect [them] with the necessary support services in their community". The name ALONE in an acronym of the words "A Little Offering Never Ends"

Neopost will be carrying out a number of volunteer activities over the winter. We have teams taking part in the Great Pink Run on October 13th, and the Run in the Dark on November 7th. In December we'll be holding our Annual coffee morning in our Fonthill Office.

See below for some photos from what was a hugely enjoyable day out.
