What is an Envoseal?
A security seal is used to provide an indication of and act as a deterrent against tampering, pilfering and unauthorised entry.
Seals are generally classified as either indicative or barrier and are supplied with a variable or fixed length subject to application.
Indicative Seals Indicative seals are generally manufactured from plastic materials that have a relatively low breaking point and are easily removed by hand or with a simple tool. They are therefore ideal for providing evidence of unauthorised entry or tampering.
e.g a plastic pull up seal used on a fire extinguisher.
Barrier Seals A barrier seal will also have indicative properties but will be manufactured from a metal or metal cable material that is designed to delay the process of entry. Barrier seals cannot be removed by hand and require the use of bolt cutters.
e.g. a bolt seal used to secure a container.
Pull Up Seals A pull up seal is variable in length and is pulled tight around the item that it is designed to secure.
e.g. for sealing mail sacks.
Fixed length The length of a fixed length seal cannot be altered. Therefore this type of seal is used on applications requiring a predetermined length.
e.g. for securing roll cages.
