Company Introduction

Cadbury has been making chocolate in Ireland since 1932.  More than €250 million worth of Cadbury chocolate produced in Ireland, is exported every year, bringing Ireland valuable earnings from abroad.

Cadbury Ireland has had many export successes and has made a spectacular transition from being a small scale manufacturer for a protected home market to a substantial producer of brands consumed around the world today.

Choosing Neopost

After being a customer of Neopost, Cadbury made a decision to move to a competitor.  However a few short weeks later, the decision was made to move back to Neopost. 

 “With the competitor we were given a re-conditioned machine which proved to be very problematic.

We also found ourselves on the receiving end of undisclosed costs and charges and very poor customer service”, recalls Yvonne Harvey, Office Manager.

The service centre was based in the UK which meant we never got to speak to the same person twice and did not have a dedicated account manager to handle our business.

For their mail run, Cadbury chose an IS480 franking machine from the Neopost IS series.

“It is so easy to use and very reliable”, continues Harvey, “having the functionality of the stacker means we can process items with speed and efficiency”.

With up to 2,000 mail items per day, Cadbury needed an automated, reliable and easy to use solution

When Cadbury first contacted Neopost with concerns about their existing supplier, to alleviate their problems, Neopost supplied Cadbury with a loan machine while their new IS480 was put on order.  Once their new IS480 arrived and was installed a Neopost representative was on hand to train and assist Cadbury with its operation.

“We have no major issues with the machines from Neopost, we also use their consumables and find the next day delivery on envelopes wonderful as there is no need to bulk order stock leaving more space for storage of other items”.
